Terms of Service

Last updated August 12, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Stormzo LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“Stormzo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern your access to and use of the Stormzo website at https://stormzo.app and our related apps and services (the “Services”). By creating an account, joining a chapter, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Who Can Use Stormzo

Stormzo is offered to fraternity and sorority chapters and their members and alumni. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. Access is typically by invitation from a chapter administrator. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Chapter Subscriptions, Trials, and Billing

Chapters subscribe to Stormzo for a recurring fee (currently $999 per year unless otherwise agreed in a separate order or agreement). Subscriptions may include a free trial (generally 30 days). Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription and your payment method is charged the then-current fee. Subscriptions renew automatically each term until cancelled.

You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for all fees when due. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable and partial periods are not prorated. You may cancel your subscription’s renewal at any time through the Stripe customer billing portal or by contacting us at info@stormzo.org; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term. We may change pricing on renewal with reasonable notice.

Where a chapter agrees to a specific promotional arrangement (for example, a launch offer) in a separate signed order or agreement, that agreement governs the trial length and pricing for that chapter and controls over any general statement in these Terms.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We accept major payment cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover), and payments are processed in US dollars. By paying, you also agree to Stripe’s terms. We do not store full payment card numbers.

4. Donations

Members may make donations to a chapter through the Services. Stormzo charges no platform fee on donations — funds are routed to the receiving chapter’s connected payment account, less standard payment-processing fees charged by the processor. Donations are generally non-refundable. Stormzo is not responsible for how a chapter uses funds it receives.

5. Your Content

You may post content such as profile details, photos, messages, jobs, and events (“Content”). You retain ownership of your Content. You grant Stormzo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your Content solely to operate and provide the Services to you and your chapter. You are responsible for your Content and confirm you have the rights to share it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe others’ rights;
  • post harmful, harassing, misleading, or unlawful content, or send unsolicited commercial messages or spam to other members;
  • access or attempt to access data belonging to another chapter, or attempt to bypass the Services’ security or access controls;
  • scrape, harvest, or collect other members’ personal information from the directory;
  • sell or otherwise transfer your profile or account;
  • reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Services or their infrastructure.

7. Third-Party Websites

The Services may contain links to websites we do not own or control — for example, members’ LinkedIn profiles, external job postings, or social links. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party websites, and your use of them is at your own risk.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including their software, design, and trademarks (other than your Content and your chapter’s marks), belong to Stormzo or its licensors. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Services as intended. All rights not granted are reserved.

9. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, please notify us at info@stormzo.org with a description of the work, its location on the Services, and your contact information. We will respond to valid notices and may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.

10. Chapter Access and Responsibilities

Access to Stormzo is typically by invitation from a chapter administrator, and each chapter and its administrators are responsible for managing their own members and roster. Each chapter’s data is kept separate from other chapters, and chapter administrators can view and manage member and roster information for their own chapter only.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it. By using the Services you agree to that Policy.

12. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, and we are not responsible for the actions or content of members or chapters.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stormzo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Services in the six (6) months before the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Stormzo harmless from claims and expenses arising out of your Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Services or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

16. Dispute Resolution

Informal resolution first. If a dispute arises between you and Stormzo, both sides agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting the other and negotiating in good faith for at least thirty (30) days before starting a formal proceeding.

Binding arbitration. If the dispute is not resolved informally, it will be settled by binding arbitration rather than in court, to take place in Bergen County, New Jersey. If arbitration fees are found to be excessive, Stormzo will pay them to the extent required to keep this agreement enforceable. If for any reason a dispute proceeds in court instead, it will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Time limit. Any claim relating to the Services must be brought within one (1) year after it arises; otherwise it is permanently barred.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, including by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
